Instructional Designer Job Description

The instructional designer creates engaging and compelling instructional graphics, web pages and user interfaces for a variety of training products. This role requires strong design, writing, research and project management skills. Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models is often preferred, as is experience using Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline or similar software.

Conducting assessments of users’ training needsWorking with SMEs and conducting research to create relevant contentDeveloping various learning solutions, including instructor-led and self-paced computer courses
