Embracing equality, diversity and inclusion also helps us better serve the needs of the jobseekers and hiring managers we work with each day.
Robert Half’s commitment to diversity and inclusion has its roots in the values of our founder, Robert Half. He was a catalyst for positive change in the employment industry. He lobbied against discriminatory hiring policies that were common at the time and led the successful effort to eliminate separate male and female job listings in major newspapers.
In our commitment to building happier, more engaged and productive workplaces, we will ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion is at the heart of what we do. Robert Half's most recent accolades and alliances include the following:
The company’s employee-created groups focus on traditionally underrepresented populations and bring together colleagues with common interests. All staff are welcome to join and benefit from education, support, networking, advocacy and allyship. As Robert Half's flagship diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiative, our ENGs continue to grow in membership, participation and philanthropy, and they receive significant funding and support from executive leadership. The ENGs increase cross-company collaboration and amplify exposure to DEI topics on a global level. Driven by and engaging our teams, the ENGs provide a safe space for discussions, ideas and concerns. Events and programs range from podcasts, conversation series and mentoring activities to community outreach, external guest speakers and companywide live streams, often attended by thousands.
